An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive / Paralegal to join a well-established law firm. This role offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

As a Family Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive / Paralegal, you will independently manage your caseload, conduct client meetings, prepare legal applications, and represent clients in court. The role offers the chance to engage in public law matters for those with relevant experience. You will be based in either Hartlepool or Stockton-on-Tees.

You will be responsible for:

  • Advising clients on family law matters, including domestic abuse, child arrangements, divorce, and financial remedies.
  • Drafting court documents such as Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders, Children Act applications, Divorce Petitions, and financial remedy documents.
  • Preparing cases for court hearings, including creating trial bundles and briefing counsel as needed.
  • Representing clients in court through advocacy.
  • Submitting funding applications via CCMS and managing Legal Help cases.
  • Meeting with clients to provide advice and representation tailored to their needs.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Family Solicitor, Family Lawyer, Legal Executive, Paralegal or in a similar role.
  • Experience managing your own caseload within a Family Law department.
  • Familiarity with handling Legal Help cases.
  • Passion for family law and commitment to excellence.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent PC and case management software skills.
