Payroll Team LeadLocation: Stockton-on-TeesSalary: £38,000-45,000JGA Recruitment is pleased to partner with a well-established international organisation in the search for a Payroll & HR Team Lead to join their HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional with leadership skills to take on a diverse role encompassing payroll, benefits, HR administration, and process optimisation.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a team responsible for delivering efficient payroll, benefits, and HR administrative services across multiple regions.
  • Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal controls.
  • Overseeing HR systems and payroll vendor relationships to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Supporting general ledger reporting and resolving payroll-related accounting issues.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance payroll and HR operations.
  • Managing onboarding, HR transactions, and company fleet administration.
  • Contributing to both global and local HR projects and compliance initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in UK payroll processing and compliance.
  • Proven track record in team leadership within a shared services or HR/payroll setting.
  • Exposure to European payroll operations (desirable).
  • Experience in general ledger reconciliation and payroll-related accounting (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in HR/payroll systems (Workday and Resourcelink experience advantageous).
  • Background in managing outsourced payroll providers.
  • Strong Excel skills and overall IT competency.
  • Experience in change management and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Professional, ethical, and collaborative approach aligned with company values.
