North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking an experienced Plaster Technician to provide a high quality service for patients within the Orthopaedic Outpatients department.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide patient centred casting for orthopaedic outpatients
  • Carry out a full range of plaster techniques both routine and complex including specialist and synthetic casts as well as resting/functional splinting, casting bracing and focused rigidity casting
  • Be responsible for supporting the patient during cast application and removal and will ensure patients are given appropriate advice re care of their cast and splint
  • Have enhanced additional support from the Senior Plaster Technician and registered Nurses

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Care certificate
  • BAO Registered Plaster Technician
  • Plaster room experience
  • Orthopaedic experience

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

  • Relevant Qualifications
  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable
