Empowering Learning are working with a primary school in the Stockton-on-Tees area and are looking for qualified Teaching Assistants to support as general Teaching Assistants and 1:1 Teaching Assistants.

The school is easily accessible via public transport.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants that can naturally engage with children and have a real passion for wanting to make a difference in childrens education. Someone who can bring energy and fun to the classroom.

Due to a recent high demand in Teaching Assistant's the school has a need for general classroom support but also 1:1 SEN support therefore experience with SEN needs for 1:1 roles is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students with their learning through one-on-one assistance and small group interventions.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote the social and emotional development of students, fostering their confidence and independence.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching resources and materials.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1 to 3).
  • Experience in working within a Primary School setting.
  • Thorough understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Caring and compassionate approach towards students.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
