Empowering Learning are looking to hear from Primary SEN Teaching Assistant's for one of our Mainstream Primary Schools in Stockton.This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assisting with classroom activities, including one-on-one support and group work.
  • Promoting inclusion and a positive learning environment.
  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff to meet the individual needs of the child.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Adapting to different school settings and environments.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience (min of 6 months) working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a Mainstream setting however experience of working in a SEN or Alternative Provision is advantageous.
  • A passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs such as ASD, SEMH and Behaviours that Challenge.
  • Teaching Assistant qualification minimum of Level 2.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive and compassionate attitude towards students.
