Salary: £29,760

3 Shift: early / late / nights

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join an established engineering business in Stillington.

This market leading company operates in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and transportation, employing over 4,500 people in 22 countries.

We are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector/Operator to conduct inspections on heat-treated components, perform reworks, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

Main responsibilities:

  • Carry out accurate and efficient inspection on heat treated components
  • Perform reworks following a detailed work instruction
  • Maintain component identification
  • Maintain inspection records
  • Check compliance to Quality Systems and customer specifications
  • Assist in the preparation for and participate in Internal and External Quality Audits
  • Liaison with production with regards to priorities and customer requirements
  • Record and report any non-conformances to Quality Manger
  • Ensure safe operating of all plant and equipment
  • Periodic checks and calibrations
  • Follow company health and safety procedures
  • Comply with all quality system requirements

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Experience as quality inspector or similar role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and time management skills are a must
  • Proactive can-do attitude with the willingness to overcome obstacles
  • Experience of working in manufacturing environment

Salary / package:

  • Pension - match contribution from 4% - 10%
  • Life Assurance – 2 x annual salary rising to 4x within Company pension
