We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on Northumbria Water projects. You will be responsible for managing all costs relating to civil engineering projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Your role will involve cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure that projects are completed on budget and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and reports
- Evaluate project variations and changes
- Manage contracts, including subcontractor procurement and payment
- Ensure compliance with Northumbria Water's standards and requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to track and control costs
- Provide detailed financial progress reports
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Proven experience with civil engineering and water utility projects
- Strong knowledge of contract management (NEC experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in cost management software
