Reed are excited to be representing a client who are going through a rapid period of growth, who have expanded from one site to five in the last four years. As a result of their rapid growth, they are recruiting for a newly-created role of Finance Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis – someone to have full and sole responsibility of the finance function for their Teesside division.Paying a competitive salary of up to £33,000 per annum and with a lucrative benefits package including 25 days Holidays + Bank Holidays, with additional holidays as years in service increase, along with 2pm finishes on a Friday! The organisation offer a dynamic and collaborative working environment, along with professional development and training opportunities.To be successful in this role, you must be diligent, detail-oriented, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and have a strong background in finance.You will play a crucial role and have sole responsibility of the finance function. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:-  

  • Generate and process sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain the sales ledger and reconcile accounts receivable on a regular basis
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on overdue invoices
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries
  • Review study budgets outlined in contracts and contribute to the set-up of study financials
  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to sales and accounts receivable
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of sales ledger operations
  • Provide support during audits and assist in the resolution of audit findings related to sales ledger activities
  • Review and Book purchase invoices
