About Us: Randstad is excited to collaborate with the Children Looked After (CLA) Team in Stockton on Tees to recruit a passionate and dedicated Social Worker.

Job Description:

Are you an experienced social worker with a commitment to supporting children and young people in care?
In this role, you will manage a caseload of looked-after children, working to ensure their safety, well-being, and positive development.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of looked-after children, ensuring that their care plans are effectively implemented and reviewed regularly.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children, carers, and families to support their emotional and social development.
  • Attending and contributing to child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and looked-after children.
  • Maintaining accurate records of assessments, care plans, and outcomes to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in a social work role, particularly working with looked-after children or within a children's social care service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, carers, and professionals.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and child protection.
