About the RoleAs a Social Worker in our Children's Assessment Team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of children and families. You will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the team, including gathering information, interviewing clients, and analyzing their needs.
  • Develop individualised care plans that address identified needs, taking into account the child's strengths, aspirations, and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including health providers, schools, and community partners to ensure a holistic approach to support.
  • Advocate for children's rights and needs, ensuring they have access to the appropriate services and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to relevant legislation and policies.

You will need

  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, BSC Social Work)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing care plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse individuals
  • A deep understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures
  • A commitment to child-centered practice and promoting the well-being of children
