An Accountant who will work as part of the Regulatory Reporting - Europe team, who will play a vital role in ensuring that we meet all financial regulatory requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

You will be an integral part of the Regulatory Reporting Team, where you you will be involved in all aspects of financial regulatory requirements for the European markets.

This role will be a brilliant opportunity for someone who is keen to grow their knowledge of the industry and relevant financial regulation.

You will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks, adhoc returns and requirements, project work and to work closely with non-financial stakeholders across the wider business.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Currently studying towards AAT or CIMA.
  • Effective communicator who is able to engage with a wide range of financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Confident individual who shows initiative, is inquisitive and has the ability to understand new concepts quickly.
  • Team player with strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • A basic understanding of the gambling industry and an interest in wide range of Sports is beneficial.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly into the Finance Manager but working closely with other experienced team members.
  • Carrying out daily financial reconciliations and investigating variances.
  • Assisting in the preparation of gambling duty and regulatory returns.
  • Providing support for any adhoc requests from Regulators.
  • Assisting in project work for new regulated markets.
  • Adopting a continuous improvement ethos to evolve processes.
  • Developing relationships with other key internal departments, such as Tax, Compliance and Data Distributions.
