Job Purpose
  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients, acting as their first point of contact
  • Accounts preparation for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
  • Preparation of consolidated statutory and management accounts
  • Overseeing end-to-end accounts and meeting documents ahead of accounts meetings
  • Conducting cashflow forecasting and corporation tax compliance work
  • Preparation of reports for review of Directors
  • Conversing clearly and effectively by using computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Supporting junior staff by reviewing work and knowledge sharing
  • Liaising directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Working to client expectations, budgets, and deadlines
  • Promoting services to existing and prospective clients
  • Championing your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Supporting the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, finalist or studying, with at least 3 years’ previous experience within practice
  • Demonstrable experience in financial reporting and supervising junior staff
  • Audit experience is an advantage
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
