Job Requirements
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring compliance at every step
  • Lead onsite audit teams to ensure budgets, deadlines and expectations are met
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, handling queries quickly and effectively
  • Supervise junior staff both on-site and in-office, reviewing work and offering guidance
  • Use software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Manage own workload, regularly updating Managers with work progress
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Scope out any added-value services to help support the audit function’s continued development
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Support the wider firm by undertaking ad-hoc work when and where required

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • Proven track record of leading audit assignments within practice environment
  • Good knowledge of audit software including Xero, SAGE 50, SAGE Business Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team and progress within the firm
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver, with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
