Our client, is seeking a talented Fixed Asset Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation while advancing your career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and supporting key financial processes, including:

  • Consolidating the FAR on a period-by-period basis to streamline the year-end process and reconciliation.
  • Providing support to the budgeting and forecasting functions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with the wider business on capital-related matters.
  • Accurately processing and monitoring asset additions and disposals.
  • Mitigating risks by ensuring robust documentation for audit sampling.
  • Responding proactively to ad hoc requests and challenges.
Skills and Experience Required

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Professional Qualifications: Working towards CIMA or ACCA.
  • Fixed Asset Expertise: Proven experience in managing and controlling all aspects of fixed assets.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK Accounting Standards.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and familiarity with finance system management and internal controls.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Work Ethic: A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused approach to your work.
