Are you a driven and detail-oriented Management Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? I am partnering with a dynamic and forward-thinking business that is experiencing rapid growth and is looking to strengthen its Finance team.

In this role, you will take ownership of the management accounts function while playing a key role in internal reporting for operational teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a thriving company and make a real impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Accounts Manager and Finance Director, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including departmental profit & loss statements and group balance sheet reports
  • Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Handling key financial processes, including payment runs, payroll preparation, PAYE, CIS, and quarterly VAT returns
  • Performing bank reconciliations, maintaining the fixed asset register, and assisting with audits
  • Extracting and analysing data from internal systems to produce insightful departmental reports
  • Engaging in profitability-focused projects and other financial initiatives
  • Collaborating with the finance team to meet deadlines and improve processes
  • Addressing accounting queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Using Xero and associated reporting software for financial management and reporting
  • Presenting financial data in a clear and professional manner to support decision-making
  • Assisting with general finance-related duties as required

Requirements

  • AAT qualified or part ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • A proactive and analytical finance professional with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting processes, payroll, and VAT
  • Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software)
  • A team player with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a 'can-do' attitude
