Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with the University of Staffordshire as an exciting opportunity has arisen to join their Financial Planning and Analysis team as a Student Number Planning Accountant.
As a Student Number Planning Accountant, you will play a key role in providing financial insight and strategic planning related to student numbers and tuition fee income. You’ll work closely with academic schools, finance colleagues, and senior leadership to support planning, forecasting, and scenario modelling that underpin our academic and financial strategies.
Duties will include;
- Developing and maintaining student number forecasts across various programmes and levels of study
- Providing tuition fee income modelling and variance analysis to support budgeting and strategic planning
- Leading and managing the day-to-day, month-end and year-end processes for Apprenticeship and Partnership stakeholders, and maintaining communications to Partners around monthly student number and income reporting
- Contributing to the annual planning cycle and other financial processes with robust data models and recommendations
Person:
The successful Student Number Planning Accountant:
- Will hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent) or be a finalist studying towards qualification or equivalent experience.
- Possess strong analytical and Excel modelling skills
- Have developed experience in financial planning and forecasting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data and information to non-specialists
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
