Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant to support the day-to-day operations of the Finance team for one of our growing clients based just outside Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and improving our financial processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct cash reconciliations and manage weekly sales reporting and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the monthly Board Pack and ensure governance of the end-to-end sales-cash process and accounting within Gardens Admissions.
  • Review and enhance financial processes within Purchase to Pay, Sale to Cash, and Record to Report accounting areas.
  • Handle journal postings, maintain the Fixed Asset Register, calculate depreciation, and manage fixed asset reporting.
  • Manage accruals and prepayments, including deferred income postings.
  • Take ownership of Trentham Leisure Ltd Accounts Payable Ledger.
  • Support cash forecasting and working capital management.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist with the year-end audit.
  • Participate in the annual budget process and reforecasts.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to meet the evolving needs and requirements of the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Previous experience in Retail would be beneficial
  • Ideally qualification through ACCA or CIMA but QBE will be looked at
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in business change (system/restructures).
  • Knowledge of Sage
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally.
