Your new companyYour new company is a leader in their field based in Stoke-on-Trent and are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.Your new roleMonitor raw material price movements and maintain the product costing system.Work in conjunction with the Financial Controller to produce accurate monthly management reporting and forward forecasts.Assist the Financial Controller in annual budgeting.Supervise the AR and AP roles and understand the functionality of each role to be able to cover key tasks during times of absence.Liaise with external parties on statutory reporting, tax and treasury compliance.Track and maintain operating leasesRespond to National Statistics requestsProvide cover in times of absence for payments, so that suppliers are paid correctly.Send relevant documentation to banks and suppliers, eg telegraphic transfersResponsible for UK and Ireland VAT reportingMaintain Fixed Assets RegisterReview of overheads with key stakeholders and monthly explanations of actuals and variances to Financial ControllerReconciliation of month end bank and purchase ledger balances.Preparation of accruals (including contractors) and prepayments at month-end and reconciliation of prepayment and accruals accounts.Reconciliation of Intercompany Balances and calculation of Goods in Transit values as part of the month end process.Utilities tracking and accruals.
