Semi Senior Job Vacancy

This leading accountancy firm in Stoke-on-Trent is looking for a Semi Senior to join their successful team. They are hoping to meet a go-getter, someone who can get stuck in and become part of a happy and productive team providing a full suite of general accounting services for a varied portfolio of clients.

This role offers plenty of benefits including hybrid working (2 days from home per week) and a 2pm Friday finish!

What are we looking for? You’ll already have some experience working within an accountancy practice and may have begun studying towards your ACCA or ACA qualification or you'll be ready to start. You will have knowledge of using most PC and cloud-based accounting systems. You will also have good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as being able to work as part of team.

Job Purpose

  • Preparation of statutory and management accounts.
  • Personal and corporate tax computations.
  • Supporting the team in the provision of audit services.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Raising invoices.
  • Reconciling debits and credits.
  • Bookkeeping.
  • Scheduling supplier payments for client approval.
  • Knowledge of most accounting packages.
  • Work closely with the accounts team with any ad hoc projects, as necessary.
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive working environment.
