Job Purpose

• Preparation and reviewing of financial statements for a variety of clients
• Managing and overseeing the completion of tax returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation
• Handling a portfolio of clients, providing them with high-quality advice and support on accounting and tax matters
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax
• Supporting and mentoring junior staff, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work
• Liaising with clients regularly to build and maintain strong relationships
• Assisting with audits and preparing reports for management review
• Staying current with changes in tax legislation and advising clients accordingly
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
• Support Seniors, Managers and Partners with ad-hoc work where required
• Drive your own development by undertaking training and further learning opportunities where possible

Job Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
• Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and experience with IRIS is an advantage
• Passionate about progression, with the drive to undertake further learning opportunities
