Job Purpose
  • Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the Senior Management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
  • Preparation of VAT returns, management accounts and financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Delegate tasks to ensure they are completed accurately and within compliance deadlines
  • Work alongside Directors to oversee budget planning
  • Act as key client contact, providing advice and support on financial matters
  • Involvement in ad-hoc work projects to further support Senior Managers and Directors
  • Oversee client workflow and internal management of resources
  • Supervise junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development
  • Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency
  • Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations
  • Champion your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements
  • ACCA/ACA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • A part-qualified candidate with strong experience would also be considered
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
  • Strong working knowledge of software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation
  • A team player who can also work autonomously and manage their own workload
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
