An Assistant Accountant who will play a vital role in the daily reconciliation of regulatory reports, ensuring all of the financial regulatory requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner.

You will be an integral part of the Regulatory Returns team, who are responsible for ensuring continual delivery of regulatory returns in current and new markets.

A large part of the role will require you to be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a number of current regulated markets, ensuring all requirements for Duty, Taxes and adhoc requests are met.

Current markets are rapidly expanding, making this a brilliant opportunity for someone who has excellent attention to detail and can manage their workload effectively.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from their first day of employment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Studying towards AAT.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Self-motivated and look to make continuous improvements to processes.
  • Experience working with high volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in Excel functions.
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of the Gambling industry and an interest in a wide range of sports is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carrying out daily financial reconciliations for multiple markets.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing and paying of Duty and Taxes.
  • Assisting in the completion of any required audits.
  • Supporting with the testing and developing of regulatory reports.
  • Investigating the causes of any large variations of figures used in submissions.
  • Completing any adhoc requests from key stakeholders.
