Assistant Management Accountant

A reputable and well-established business based in Stoke-on-Trent are seeking a temporary Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis for 3-4 months while the organisation goes through a period of change. Please see below an overview of the role and responsibilities.
- Assisting to prepare the management accounts
- Reconciling nominal accounts, preparing accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with year end audit
- Preparing weekly wages, submitting information to the accountants
- Daily processing of bank transactions
- Investigating queries and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Handling petty cash
- Preparing reports for management
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Set up new supplier accounts, raise purchase orders and process of refunds
- Prepare VAT submissions
- Other duties as required
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Previous experience within a similar role
- AAT is preferable
- Professional approach
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent computer literacy
