Our globally established and highly recognised Client continues to be the market leader for the development and manufacture of complex machined components for the aerospace, aviation and defence sector.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be ensuring the conformance of designated materials and processes, supporting the quality of product of the proof machining function of the organisation. Using metallurgical methodologies to increase both cost and time efficiency of existing processes and alloys. Handling of in production failures in a timely and efficient manner to ensure conformance to customers.  

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Streamline production routing, transitioning processes into industrial-level production.
  • Take responsibility for the creation, review, and comprehension of technical documentation, including quality assurance documentation.
  • Analyse test data, produce root cause analysis, and contribute to the improvement of future alloys
  • Witness metallurgical operations and ensure conformance to customer specifications.
  • Lead improvement project meetings, driving continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility
  • Act as a technical point of contact for internal queries, especially relating to the proof machining department.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • A Degree in a relevant field (Considerable experience may be considered in lieu of education)
  • Strong data analysis skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability in decision-making and effective problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges.
