Debt Collector- Phone Based- Credit Management

Hours: Monday- Friday (Rotational Shift Pattern) + One Saturday every 4 weeksSalary: £23,500 + Monthly Bonus

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining a professional relationship with customers. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent phone etiquette, and a passion to learn. The Agent will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient collection of overdue accounts and will work closely with various departments to achieve recovery goals.

Duties

  • Answer inbound and conduct outbound calls to customers to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate repayment plans.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of communications and payments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive financial information.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and company policies during all recovery activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in telemarketing or a similar role within the financial services sector is preferred.
  • Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
