CVM World is a rapidly growing family-run 2nd stage motor-vehicle manufacturer converting vans and selling high quality used vehicles. We are a manufacturer of Peugeot and Ford approved van conversions and our customers include the Construction, Education, Care, Charity and Voluntary sectors.

We specialise in converting panel vans into a range of products and we build on new and high-quality used vehicles from all manufacturers. It is an exciting time to join the company as we have recently expanded into the rapidly growing campervan and welfare van market. In addition to this, we have launched our own customised version of the Ford Ranger.

We require a Sales Manager to lead our busy sales department. Experience in vehicle sales is essential and the successful candidate will be given full product-specific training. As well as a successful background in a related industry, importance will be allocated to the general skills and qualities outlined below.

Excellent verbal, written and organisational skills are essential and the ideal candidate will also be personable, cooperative and flexible as well as tenacious and efficient. A good working knowledge of Microsoft and competent computer skills are also important.

Key responsibilities

Sales/Business development

  • Managing the sales team and any sales activities that happen within the business
  • Establish a sales pipeline process within the business, with particular attention to fleet customers in all sectors
  • Understanding the company environment and business landscape and setting relevant targets and objectives for the team
  • To identify, develop and build relationships with prospective clients, ensuring that all sales opportunities for CVM World are acted upon
  • To further develop relationships with existing business partners and identify and develop opportunities with new partners
  • To maintain the clear and accurate record of sales leads and use it to develop and refine our sales strategies
  • Identify and attend relevant networking events and follow up all leads gathered
  • Deliver training and coaching to the sales team when necessary
  • Liaise with our marketing department to ensure our entire portfolio is brought to the market appropriately and that leads are converted

Competitor and market awareness (approximately 5% of workload)

  • To research the latest developments and products in the industry to ensure our range of services continues to offer good value for clients and to make suggestions to the MD when any new opportunities for service enhancement are identified
  • Have a good awareness of competitor products and pricing

Line Management Responsibility

You will be responsible for the direct line management of other sales executives.

Hours of work

  • The role is full time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Location

The role is principally office-based, although visits to prospects offices and events are required. Access to a car and a driving licence are therefore essential. All travel expenses will be paid in accordance with HMRC guidelines (i.e. all business-related travel expenses will be reimbursed, but travel to and from home to the office cannot be paid).
