As an Account Manager selling water and effluent trade treatment you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding our existing client accounts within the business-to-business sector. You will work closely with businesses to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and ensure the continued satisfaction and success of our customers. Your role will include overseeing the full customer lifecycle, from initial consultation through to solution implementation, and driving long-term relationships that support our business growth.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Develop Existing Accounts: Take ownership of a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further business growth.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage with clients to understand their unique water-related challenges and provide expert advice on water solutions that meet their needs, with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.
  • Cross-Sell and Upsell: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand service offerings and increase revenue from existing accounts.
  • Relationship Building: Foster long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client businesses, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Contract Management: Oversee contract renewals, pricing adjustments, and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless implementation of solutions and delivery of services.
  • Reporting: Track account performance, provide regular updates to clients, and report on sales activity, forecasts, and results.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in account management or sales, preferably in water solutions, environmental services, utilities or a related field.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Customer-Focused: Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Problem-Solver: Analytical mindset with the ability to assess client needs and offer tailored, cost-effective water solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and engaging way.
  • Organised & Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritise tasks.
