My client a leading and very well established £15 mill T/O Manufacturing, Design and Engineering company is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager for a permanent career opportunity.

The role:

We are seeking a self-motivated future leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be driven, bright, engaging, excellent at understanding, managing and developing people, and will require high intellect to handle a challenging and rewarding role.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring continuous improvement projects are identified, deployed, managed and implemented in all areas of the organisation and supply chain.
  • Team management and development to ensure all operations are world-class, high standards are set and maintained through coaching.
  • Working with different teams to ensure the embedding of correct working, processes and culture.
  • Communication so that the right people know what they need to know to get the job done.
  • Coordination of activity to ensure output is high and grows.

This role requires a strategic thinker with thoroughness who can motivate and develop individuals, and drive the business forward.

Duties

  • Manage and develop team members and leads, including coaching and support, carrying out 1-2-1’s and appraisals, encouraging continuous personal development, and managing performance.
  • Ensuring core processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ongoing development of business processes across all areas, ensuring efficient and effective methods of work.
  • Monitor and analyse quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Own continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve engagement and development levels within the team and across the organisation; presenting to senior management when required.
  • Able to collaborate across functions, including sales, marketing, operations and supply chain, to gather insights on market trends and customer preferences to ensure all work is relevant.
  • Utilise various systems and people to analyse data and apply pre-emptive work.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding demand forecasts, trends, and recommendations.

Experience- Proven experience in a high performance business or organisations, and of coaching/managing people.

- No specific experience is necessary (although it helps) as training is available.- Proficiency in using the usual range of computer systems.- Excellent communication skills, primarily verbal. Also written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and make presentations.- A can-do attitude, proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
