Product Manager £40,000 dependant on experience Permanent Stoke on Trent My client are an established and reputable organisation who are a leading manufacturer and distributer of specialist items. They are one of the area’s biggest and most desirable employers in Staffordshire and across Europe. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Product Manager, working closely with various teams such as the Sales, Marketing and Buying Teams, to support New Product Launches across all the brands within the category.My client, established in 1989 and has grown from strength to strength. They have ambitious growth plans and seek an ambitious candidate to help them continue to succeed and help them achieve their vision for the future. Duties to include:
  • Responsible for launching products to market and ensuring they are targeting specific consumers/needs and are communicated and positioned in a compelling way to make them stand out from the competition
  • Responsible for evaluating what products are launched in the market and ensuring that creativeness, innovation, positioning and uniqueness are communicated in a consistent way across all content (packaging, presentations, content imagery etc)
  • Responsible for future NPD roadmap planning through market research/consumer understanding
  • Work closely with Head of Product Management & Category Director to achieve our
  • Manage NPD launches for your category, ensuring NPI process is followed,
  • Ownership & approval of all content for the category – press releases, e-commerce content, NPI briefs, packaging artwork, photography briefs, MD’s, social posts, ads, content carousels, presentations, etc.
  • Track status and progress of all NPD content, communicating with e-comm team on a weekly basis, ensuring content is delivered in a timely manner prior to product launches
  • Ensure all existing content is on-brand, up to date, etc., and work with marketing to update where necessary
  • Manage licensed collections, working with Licensing Manager
  • Marketing plans/campaigns (working with marketing) on a global basis – effective PR and social media strategy for the category
  • Trade Shows – work as part of team to deliver successful shows
  • Merchandising units – work with marketing/buying to create category relevant POS
  • Provide support to the Category Buyer(s) and Director(s) to compile market research and competitor information in order to present competitor packs highlighting key issues with conclusions and recommended actions.
  • There may also be foreign travel involved dependant on development within the role
