Established in 1986, our prestigious client has over 30 years of industry experience under their belts and is now searching for an influential and inspirational Regional Sales Manager to lead their established teams in key northern locations.

They offer a diverse product range from industrial supplies, tools and consumables to Precision Cutting Tools, PPE and Abrasives products from market leading manufacturers. Not only that, they are also a market leaders in Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solutions and stock control management systems.

They are a leading Broad Product Line Distributor and Industrial Supply Partner in all major sectors including Precision Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Oil & Gas and Power Generation.

Core Duties

  • Set agreed upon targets for your team of Area Sales Managers and partnered branches
  • Manage performance both individually and team, in line with KPI objectives
  • Regular field visits with the sales team to ensure productivity, give support and monitor customer feedback
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews, 1-2-1 meetings and team meetings
  • Develop and support your team, improving on the regions success – identify training needs, offering coaching and leading from the front
  • Effective pipelining/forecasting of sales achievements and profitability of your teams
  • Monitor customer relationships and experience, adding value and driving initiatives such as cost saving opportunities for customers along with value added solutions and programmes

Essential Qualities

  • Experience within the same or transferrable industries
  • Proven sales history
  • Progressed into a sales leadership position
  • Previous experience of managing an external sales team
  • Results orientated
  • 'Customer First’ attitude
  • Valid UK driving license
