Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Officer for a public sector organisation on a temporary interim basis. The purpose of the role is to support the team's day-to-day operational management and deliver an efficient and continually improving development management service.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Planning Officer Role:

  • Managing junior planning officers and providing professional guidance.
  • Assessing and processing planning applications.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national planning policies.
  • Negotiating with developers, architects, and stakeholders to improve development proposals.
  • Developing and reviewing local planning policies and frameworks.
  • Enforcing planning regulations and handling enforcement cases.

The successful Senior Planning Officer will have:
