We at Work Lyf group have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist working for our client, based in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will have hands on mechanical engineering experience. They will also preferably have experience operating either vertical borers or axle lathes. They will be able to read and understand technical drawings and have the ability to use precision measuring equipment.
The Role
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Maintaining machines, reporting any defects or maintenance needed.
Adhering to all company/site safety procedures.
Work within the Production Team to achieve the weekly production plan.
Any other requirements deemed necessary to achieve the business objectives.
Set and operate manual and CNC vertical borers
Set and operate CNC lathes.
Operate manual machines.
Work to tight tolerances.
Read and interpret orthographical drawings.
Programming experience would be an advantage (XYZ and Siemens).
Adhere to the company accreditations of:
ISO 45001 Health and safety
ISO 9001 Quality Standard
ISO 14001 Environmental standard
RISAS accreditation for the overhaul and Manufacture of Wheel sets.
Hours
36 hours, Monday to Thursday.
There are a 2 shifts pattern's available:
Permanent Night shift, or
Rotation of Day/Night shift.
