Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our clients dynamic team based in Stoke-on-Trent. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machinery and programming. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical skills, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
Duties
- Develop and optimise CNC programmes for various machining processes.
- Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to create accurate machining instructions.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling is used for each job.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilise hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks as required.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficient in basic maths to perform calculations related to machining processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience in tooling and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for designing components.
- Experience working on Milling and Fanuc machines.
- Turning experience would be advantageous.
- Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work with logic controllers for machine programming and operation.
- Competence in using hand tools effectively for assembly tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
