We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our warm and friendly school in Stoke on Trent, providing one-on-one support to children with autism and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to work long-term and progress within the field of special education.
Responsibilities: - Provide tailored support to students with autism and complex needs on a one-on-one basis- Assist students in their academic, social, and emotional development- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized learning plans- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:- Previous experience working with individuals with autism and/or complex needs is preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the unique needs of each student- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field would be advantageousThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
