Your new companyHays are recruiting Teaching Assistants to provide support within an ADHD/ADD secondary school based in Blythe Bridge. The school need resilient Teaching Assistants who can work closely with students to provide stable and continuous support. Your new role

  • You will be providing support to young people with ADHD & ADD who may have a short attention span and display some challenging behaviours.
  • You will work closely with the teaching staff to provide targeted support and guidance for students.
  • 1:1 or group work with students who require additional support
  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
  • We have a number of roles available both full time and part-time and short-term or long-term bookings.

What you'll need to succeed

  • previous experience working with students with ADHD is desirable but not essential.
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with both students and colleagues.
  • patience and empathy when dealing with students facing challenging circumstances.

Working with Hays, you will receive a daily pay rate between £75 - £85 depending on school booking. You will have also have a dedicated consultant to provide ongoing support from the point of registering and throughout your time working with us.
