Sonic Summary

An outstanding school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Candidates should have experience with mental health issues and challenging behavior, along with a strong understanding of SEMH needs and support strategies.
The role involves implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), providing one-on-one and small group support, and monitoring student progress.
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, although not required, and excellent communication skills are essential.
The position offers a competitive salary and requires prior experience in a similar role to effectively contribute to a supportive and inclusive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with SEMH needs in academic and personal development
Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans
Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviour
Collaborate with staff to create a positive learning environment
Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour

Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (not required but prefered )
Experience with mental health issues and challenging behaviour
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and support strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Calm and patient in challenging situations
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
