One of our outstanding schools who are dedicated to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant. We provide a nurturing environment where every student is valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEMH needs in academic and personal development
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with challenging behaviour
- Collaborate with staff to create a positive learning environment
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (not required but prefered )
- Experience with mental health issues and challenging behaviour
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and support strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm and patient in challenging situations
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
