Location: Stoke-on-TrentContract Type: Full-time and/or Part-time Salary: Dependent on experience and qualificationsWe are currently recruiting for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join one of our client Mainstream Primary Schools. The school focus on providing a positive, safe and stimulating environment for children to learn. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support pupils across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) up to Key Stage 2 (KS2). This role is crucial in helping to deliver engaging and effective lessons, ensuring that all children receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:* Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons and activities across EYFS to KS2.* Work with small groups or 1-2-1 with pupils providing tailored support in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills.* Offer support in the planning and preparation of resources and activities.* Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the school's values and ethos.* Support pupils with additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).Person Specification:* Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school environment.* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting all children, including those with additional needs.* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of pupils.If you feel you would be the ideal candidate for this position please apply for the role, or email with your most up to date CV and cover letter as to why you would you should be considered for the role.
