Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Commercial Building (Stoke)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Day Shift: 6:30am – 6:30pm)
Salary: £36,000 per annum + Overtime Available
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of a commercial building in Central London. You will work on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern (6:30am - 6:30pm), providing electrical maintenance support, fault-finding, and repairs across the site.
This role offers a competitive basic salary of £36,000 per annum, with additional opportunities for overtime, allowing you to increase your earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems, including lighting, distribution boards, fire alarms, and emergency lighting.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults across the site.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the building’s operations.
- Work closely with other maintenance staff and contractors to ensure a seamless service.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Identify and report any potential system improvements or upgrades.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or a related qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial building environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
