A Maintenance Engineer, whose primary role will be PAT testing and maintaining portable electrical equipment across a varied portfolio in multiple locations.
You will take ownership of the portable electrical equipment-testing regime across all sites, ensuring full compliance with the relevant industry and internal technical standards at all times.
The purpose of the role is to carry out in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment, whilst maintaining a safe working environment and meeting the requirements of the current edition of the IET Code of Practice.
You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days, which may on occasions include weekend or night shifts.
- Certified in or working towards, City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate for In-Service Inspections and Testing of Electrical Equipment (2377).
- Certified in or working towards, City and Guilds Basic Electrical Maintenance course.
- Certified in or working towards, Electrical Safe Isolation training.
- Excellent IT skills and experience of working with electronic systems and Microsoft packages.
- Familiar with PAT testing equipment, software and record management.
- Ability to communicate with all stakeholders, whilst working as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to plan and prioritise tasks with a flexible approach to working.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
- Producing results in a timely manner which meet the requirements and quality standards of external accrediting bodies.

- Acting with integrity and professionalism in all communications with internal customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Keeping abreast of all changes and amendments of standards, regulations and best practice within the industry.
