About the Role

Gleeson Recruitment Group are working with a market leading brand in Stoke-on-Trent on their search for a Senior Finance Analyst focusing on reporting. In this role, you will play a key part in business planning, analysis, and decision support, contributing to their expansion into new markets and other business areas. You will be responsible for producing crucial financial reports and providing valuable insights to senior management.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will focus on competitor benchmarking and market share analysis, delivering recommendations that enable growth in key territories and drive efficiencies in the cost base. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models and analyse performance metrics and trends.
  • Assess macroeconomic environments and provide relevant insights to stakeholders.
  • Produce reports comparing market share and competitors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver financial insights.
  • Conduct analysis and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to communicate financial findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support decision-making across various departments through responsive analysis.

Skills and Experience:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification, or a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, modelling, and interpreting large datasets.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modelling.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and data visualisation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to tasks.
