Our client, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking a Mixed Tax Senior Manager to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Tax Partner to drive the tax strategy for the Stoke office.
  • Lead and contribute to winning new tax advisory work, ensuring the firm's continued growth.
  • Provide expert advice on succession planning, sales, restructuring, and corporate tax matters.
  • Handle HMRC enquiries, inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT), and residency issues.
  • Advise on employee reward schemes and tax-efficient incentivisation.
  • Manage tax queries on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance and strategic planning.
  • Support the wider tax team with compliance reviews and planning meetings.
  • Monitor WIP and budgets, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with partners across the firm to integrate tax services with wider business objectives.
Requirements
  • ACA/CTA/ATT qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in both corporate and personal tax advisory work.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality tax solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of winning and developing new business.
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
  • Ability to mentor and support junior members of the tax team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
