My client is a multi-disciplined company providing M&E building services design and sustainability advice for a wide range of developments including commercial, office, industrial, residential and medical. They are on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join them on a permanent basis.

Duties include:

  • Work with and assist other Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineers together with other members of a multidiscipline design team
  • Produce estimates and programmes for input to projects
  • Liaise with clients and other design disciplines, attending internal and external meetings.
  • Produce briefs, specifications, and take a role in the review and checking of design drawings
  • Write technical reports and produce detailed calculations

Requirments:

  • Qualification to HNC Standard as a minimum in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and knowledge
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Products (Autocad, Inventor, RECAP) plus other 3D systems
  • Competent working within standards and procedures (BS 8888).
  • Knowledge and experience of UK regulations is a benefit ie LOLER, Machinery Directive, CDM
  • Input to Designer Risk Assessments (DRAs) and Outline Installation Method Statements (OIMS)
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
