Salary: Up to £44,000

Location: Stoke

Core Responsibilities

  • Help support, develop and implement Freedom Fibre HSQE policies & procedures.
  • To keep abreast of the changing HSQE legislation and ensure the company remains compliant and that management discharge their duties effectively.
  • Be actively involved with HSE incident / accident investigations and when called upon, lead such investigations.
  • Carry out investigations to identify root causes of any incidents, accidents or near misses.
  • Carry out HSQE new starter induction training for Freedom Fibre Employees.
  • To act as an advisory point to all staff and managers on matters arising to HSQE.
  • Work with various managers in different departments to oversee on and off-site HSQE requirements are met.
  • Carry out site safety audits of Freedom Fibre site operatives as outlined and arrange meetings relevant to the position and responsibility and close out actions from audits.
  • Ensure all statutory obligations around service and maintenance of plant and equipment are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the Health & Safety requirements of Building and facilities and support the Estates Manager. where applicable in your designated offices.
  • Help maintain the Valto document control system – liaise with Freedom Fibre managers to ensure that the system remains compliant.
  • Support the HSQE department in meeting the needs and expectations of the construction phase in accordance with the CDM regulations etc.
  • Support in the preparation of HSQE communications including toolbox talks, Safety Alerts and Bulletins.

Qualifications

  • Nebosh Certificate – General or Construction or above
  • ISO accreditation training / experience (lead auditor, general awareness)
  • Member of IOSH or equivalent
  • Full (Clean) UK driving license
  • AIMEA Qualifications
