Job Role: Qualified Design & Technology Teacher (QTS) for a Secondary School in Stoke-on-TrentLocation: Stoke-on-Trent, StaffordshirePosition: Full-TimeStart Date: ASAPAspire People is currently recruiting a Qualified Design & Technology (DT) Teacher (QTS) for a dynamic secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. If you have a passion for teaching DT and are committed to inspiring students with hands-on learning, this is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving department in a supportive school.Key Responsibilities:Teach Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging and practical lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.Plan and develop high-quality lessons, projects, and assessments to ensure student progress and achievement.Encourage creativity and innovation while maintaining a strong focus on practical skills and technical knowledge.Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are motivated to engage in practical work.Work collaboratively with the DT department and other staff members to ensure the best educational experience for all students.Participate in school events and extracurricular activities related to Design & Technology.Essential Requirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.A degree in Design & Technology or a relevant subject.Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment practices for DT.Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students in practical learning.Passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to developing students' skills and creativity.Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.Experience teaching DT at Key Stage 3 and 4 is desirable, but not essential.Desirable:Specialism in one or more areas of DT (e.g., Resistant Materials, Textiles, Food Technology, Product Design).Experience teaching GCSE Design & Technology.A proactive approach to teaching and problem-solving.Why Aspire People?Support from a dedicated consultant throughout your application and placement process.Competitive pay rates and opportunities for ongoing professional development.A positive and supportive work environment where your contributions are valued.Access to exclusive teaching roles across the region.How to Apply:If you are a passionate, creative, and qualified DT teacher looking to inspire the next generation of innovators, we would love to hear from you!
