Renewables Supervisor required to lead and actively participate in the installation, maintenance, and management of domestic renewable energy systems for council properties, including solar PV and air source heat pumps (ASHP). This working supervisor role involves overseeing projects and directly completing installations, focusing on domestic council housing. You will be over seeing site in areas such as Sheffield Doncaster and the office is based in Stoke.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and participate in all aspects of domestic renewable energy installations on council properties, including solar PV and ASHP systems.
  • Perform and supervise installations, ensuring systems meet energy production targets and efficiency standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians and engineers, providing on-site training and technical guidance.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, vehicle inspections, and risk assessments tailored to council housing environments.
  • Act as the Qualified Supervisor (QS) for electrical work within domestic renewable projects.
  • You will be 2 days in office and 3 days on site (can change)

Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification.
  • Solar PV installation qualification.
  • EV charger installation qualification (desirable).
  • 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification.
  • Gold Card certification.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, including system design and maintenance.
