We are seeking to appoint a Site Head of Engineering and Quality for a client based in Stoke-on-Trent.

The Site Head of Engineering & Quality will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team involved in activities for the design, development, and manufacturing of components and assemblies which are used across the defense and aerospace sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and development of the Engineering and Quality functions
  • Devise and lead and effective organisational structure for the Engineering & Quality functions to support work in progress and increase the speed of response to the shopfloor, improving OTD and Quality and Cost
  • Responsible for leading the development of new products into manufacturing. Ensuring efficiency and precision to strive for optimal production processes that deliver high-quality results from the outset
  • Oversee product design modifications, implement product enhancements, and ensure product compliance with industry standards
  • Lead and manage the strategy for factory layout, production flow and equipment alignment
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance systems, ensuring positive controls over preventative maintenance, machine inefficiencies, quality and output optimisation
  • Lead and develop the team to consistently meet requirements for ISO 9001 and AS9100 / EN9100
