Furniture Assembly Operative, Woodwork, Tools, Stoke to 22,500

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Furniture Assembly Operative to join one of the world leading leisure and manufacturing brands. They are looking for a Furniture Operative to work within a team to effectively manufacture casino furniture and support the Team Leader to ensure products are to the required quality standards and delivered on time.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • General understanding of drawings and assembly instructions
  • Knowledge of wood, MDF, plywood, metal and textile component assembly
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manufacture and assembly of high-quality products
  • Laminating Product
  • Using hand-held tools
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
  • Produce products with a high degree of accuracy
  • Interpret scheduled documentation
  • Adhere and promote your awareness to all health & safety rules

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience of working with wood and wood manufacturing is an advantage
  • Joinery experience
  • Level 2 or above qualification in bench joinery or similar
  • CNC operating experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to use woodworking machinery including saws, drills, routers and planers
  • Good communication ( written and verbal)
  • Working within a continuous improvement environment
  • Problem solving and creativity
  • Working to high quality and compliance
  • Flexibility
