TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED - YEAR 3 CLASS

Academics are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class in a vibrant and Outstanding primary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team working 5 mornings per week, providing key support to pupils in their learning journey. The position is temporary, running until Christmas 2024 initially.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with varying abilities to reach their full potential.
  • Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning resources.
  • Foster a safe and caring environment for all students.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Experience in a Year 3 classroom (desirable but not essential).
  • Available and happy to work 5 mornings per week
