Salary: 27,000 - 32,000 DOE

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

We are proud to be working with a well-established managed service provider in their search for a skilled IT Support Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious IT professional to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to clients, troubleshooting IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-line technical support to end users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Support cloud-based solutions, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Troubleshoot and manage VoIP and telephony systems.
  • Maintain security best practices, implementing updates, patches, and antivirus solutions.
  • Assist with network configurations, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Work alongside senior engineers to support complex IT projects and deployments.
  • Deliver end-user training and guidance on IT best practices.


Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in an IT support role, providing first and second-line support.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of VoIP systems and telephony support (desirable).
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to IT support.
